Modern Luxury Weddings Philadelphia Feature

Merci beaucoup to Modern Luxury Weddings Philadelphia for selecting our Party en Provence for the inaugural issue's design feature, and for featuring Annette and Matthew's Union League Philadelphia wedding! We are incredibly honored and excited to be a part of the magazine's official launch onto the Philadelphia wedding scene. Mod Lux is the wedding focused sister (aka our favorite sister) of Philadelphia Style Magazine serving up sophisticated wedding inspo and insider tips.

The magazine hits newsstands everywhere this Friday, June 15th. Be sure to pick up a copy and revel in all the pretty! In the mean time, here is a the story behind our Party en Provence shoot at the Horticultural Center in Philadelphia. Big hugs and thanks to Emily Wren Photography, Lovely Bride Philly, Aleksandra Ambrozy and the incredible team of wedding pros who came together to make magic on this one!

"Having seen so many large scale ceremony hoops on the wedding scene lately, we thought it could be fun to play with a wreath motif in different ways throughout the design. Lexi from Everlaser created several wooden laser cut pieces for us that were finished by Petals Lane with organic greens - like boxwood, eucalyptus and waxflower. Each place setting was finished with a mini wreath style escort card and we suspended a large scale wreath reading, 'My Cherie Amour' above the chippy white wooden sweetheart table provided by Maggpie Vintage
Of course when I think Provence, I immediately think lavender fields. As a nod to one of the region's most beautiful exports, we worked in subtle touches of lavender color and fresh lavender throughout the design. The wedding paper created by the Papery featured a hand dipped lavender watercolor accent, beautiful white and grey calligraphy along with hand torn edges. We nestled the place cards for guests in a rustic wooden three tier stand filled with fragrant dried lavender buds. On the dessert display, Starr Events featured lavender scented macaroons and our floral dining table centerpieces featured touches of fresh lavender, as well.
We set our dining table with a gorgeous grey lace linen from Party Rental and rooted the table with chateau style wooden dining chairs from Vision Furniture. Above, Eventions brought the glamour with vintage crystal chandeliers dangling directly below a mix of organic greens. Grey taper candles set in clear glass holders, along with a mix of mercury votives added glow to our table and I just love how the light played off of the etched glass chargers and glassware.
For our culinary element, we stuck to the sweets of course! Whipped Bakeshop created three uniquely styled cakes featuring romantic layers, hand painted accents, gumpaste florals and gorgeous green leaf appliques. Starr Events crafted a delicious spread of Provence inspired sweets- including macaroons, eclairs, pate de fruits, profiteroles and guimauve. Oh lala!"
