Spring Romance at The Barnes Foundation
As the temperatures drop, we wedding pros have a little trick to help get us through the long winter. Nope, it’s not hot chocolate, although if you have hot chocolate we’d like some! The trick of our trade is to look back on our very favorite spring and summer weddings. Reminiscing over those perfect sunny, sweet days will make you feel warmer in no time! So today we’re looking back at Sarah and Loren’s May Barnes Foundation wedding which was truly swoon-worthy spring perfection.
Sarah and Loren, a double MD power couple, first fell in love on campus at The University of Pennsylvania. Although they were both finishing their respective residencies in Houston when they got engaged, they knew they wanted to return to the city of brotherly love for the big day. So we got to planning a springtime fête in Philly! Along the way there were lots of changes due to covid, but our couple stayed positive, flexible, and focused and in the end it all paid off. They were able to celebrate with all their friends and family at the Barnes Foundation, outdoors on the West Terrace to be extra covid friendly.
On the wedding day we all woke up to picture perfect weather and after we all exchanged celebratory high fives, Sarah and her gals got glammed up by Aleksandra Ambrozy. From there we made our way to the courtyard at the Rodin Museum for Photos with Emily Wren. Sarah and Loren had their first look there, (we’re not crying, you’re crying!) and then we were off to the Barnes Foundation for the wedding ceremony. Surrounded by their friends and family, and gorgeous flowers by Devon & Pinkett, our bride and groom said “I do.” Cinemacake even set up a live stream for us so that guests who weren’t able to travel could still witness the big moment.
Once we got our couple married they enjoyed a delicious meal by Constellation, Danced the night away under the stars witha little help from Milan 77 and of course finished it all off by cutting into their drop dead gorgeous wedding cake by Whipped. Keep scrolling for all the beautiful details!
